Candlelight Vigil
This year’s theme will be unity as we come together to show solidarity and support for the LGBTQIA+ community with our fellow Pride groups from the surrounding area. In a candlelight ceremony we remember those we have lost and honor the memory of those in the LGBTQIA+ community who have died, especially those who were victims of violence or discrimination. Our speakers will raise awareness of issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community, such as discrimination, violence, and the need for equality and acceptance.

LGBTQ&A
Since 2020, BC Pride Week has kicked off with a fun and educational Thursday evening trivia game show – LGBTQ&A. Sponsored by New Story Books, 16 local celebrity contestants compete for prizes by answering sometimes serious, sometimes goofy questions about queer-related people, places, politics, history, and current events. The first two years of LGBTQ&A were performed virtually, due to COVID mandates. But since then, a live audience has laughed, learned, and cheered on our good-natured players.
